Self-assembly provides a great sense of achievement for the novice and is a real time saver for the experienced model engineer who may not have the time for another scratch build. By assembling the model you will learn how a live steam engine works, providing confidence when running and maintaining the engine over the years to come. Complete and Fully-Machined Our kits are complete and fully machined with everything you need to complete a working live steam locomotive. There is no drilling, soldering, or machining of any sort required. Every single one of our kit models is trial assembled at the factory before being disassembled and packed for shipping - your guarantee of quality. Complex assemblies e.g. cylinders are supplied pre-assembled and the boiler comes with the back head controls fitted.
